Your Rock Solid Team
You want to grow your business. You want to succeed. You don’t want to re-invent the wheel. That’s why you do want to talk to people who have been around the block a few times before. That’s us.
Rock Solid Finance is David, John and Steve — 3 guys from Ohio. Three guys that have helped grow hundreds of companies — some that we own and some that we don’t. We have set finance and operational strategies for pre-revenue start-ups, for Fortune 100′s, and even for government agencies. We’ve worked with simple spreadsheets and with giant ERP systems.
Together, we’re a different kind of finance team. The 3 of us have known each other … well, almost forever. We have worked on all 4 coasts of the USA (John says Lake Michigan is the 4th coast) and with all kinds of companies doing all kinds of finance and strategy work. We have radically different skills. But more than anything else, we are all entrepreneurs.
We believe that “It Takes an Entrepreneur to Help an Entrepreneur“.
And when we give you a deeper understanding of your business, a clear strategy and a solid financial foundation… well, let’s just say you get a powerful new perspective on your success.

Steve MacPherson

When you need to dig deep into accounting issues, Steve MacPherson is your man. For nearly 20 years Steve has enjoyed positions in accounting and finance within companies ranging from multinational conglomerates to fresh-faced start-ups.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors in Business Administration Steve began his career as a CPA in the audit practice at Deloitte & Touche. His broad client base ranged from Fortune 500 companies to small market, privately-owned businesses.
But Steve’s heart was always in the challenges of entrepreneurship and this lead him to Charlotte, where he became the operations manager for a start-up multimedia business.
Steve served many different roles within this company, including purchasing, customer service, process standardization, as well as finance/accounting. Within five years, Steve helped grow the young company’s annual revenue from $0 to $13 Million.
After negotiating the sale of the company to a key supplier, Steve worked for an IT consulting firm specializing in small to mid-market ERP systems implementation, eventually breaking out to serve small businesses on his own.
Since going solo five years ago, Steve has enjoyed helping clients increase revenue and profit while providing a strong financial framework for sound decision making. At Rock Solid Finance, Steve is a Gold level Intuit QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor and the one man who everyone turns to when there’s an issue dealing with the IRS.
Steve lives in Baxter Village, just south of Charlotte, with his wife Teresa and three daughters. In his free time enjoys mountain biking, music, college football and all things New Orleans.
